Beyond Behavior and Biology: Understanding the Health of our Community
Learn how you can take action in your community to bring awareness to social determinants of health. Social determinants of health are the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks. Our guest speaker is Lori Mazeika, Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital. Lori is an experienced leader in the health care industry with vast knowledge of our community. She leads the local work that Northwestern Medicine is doing throughout Chicagoland to address the social determinants of health.
