OLDER AMERICANS MONTH
Pathlights is proud to recognize Older Americans Month 2021 and celebrate the strength of older adults with special emphasis on the power of connection and engagement in building strong communities.
The May 2021 theme is “Communities of Strength” – a powerful reminder of how we can come together, empower each other and navigate through the most trying of times, while continuing to focus on the needs of the community.
This year we’ve seen this time and time again in the Southwest Suburbs of Cook County as friends, neighbors, and businesses have found new ways to support each other.
In our community, older adults are a key source of this strength. Through their experiences, successes, and difficulties, they have found new ways to support each other.
To recognize and celebrate older adults, Pathlights has prepared a special information and events guide in partnership with the Chicago Tribune and community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and individuals who all have an interest in helping and honoring older adults.
