Pathlights employs more than 70 professionals to address the aging needs of our communities. Our diverse team consists of social workers with advanced degrees and certifications, care planning experts, and individuals with backgrounds in areas of safety, mental health, and disabilities.
The healthcare, aging, and disability environments are ever changing. Pathlights’ staff meets regularly to examine, discuss, and modify the approach to care and learn about the latest advances from local, state and national experts as well as through continuing education and certifications.
CURRENT JOB OPENINGS
We are looking for a full-time Finance Manager. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Finance Manager is responsible for the full range of accounting activities of the agency in collaboration with our outside accounting firm, Executive Director, and the board Finance Committee.
Optimize the grant administration process
Document payments & expenditure
Maintain timeline of deliverables/reports
Prepare & monitor budgets
Track grant applications
Prepare A/P to submit to accounting firm
Gather documents and approvals
Collect & organize the source data
Prepare/submit monthly report to accounting firm
Verify & document rates
Maintain in-kind GAAP report for audit
Manage check deposits
Backup for payroll
Help facilitate audit
Maintain financial policies document
Prepare monthly financial report in collaboration with the board treasurer & finance committee
Serve as the staff liaison to the board finance committee, attending all meetings as required & preparing/presenting required materials accordingly.
Work collaboratively with program areas & central departments in developing annual budget along with budget-related plans for new programs, sites, & grants to ensure grant funding is spent in accordance with grant agreements. Meet regularly with the teams to monitor the progress.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years demonstrated non-profit experience in fund accounting, financial analysis & reporting, budgeting & forecasting; or 7+ years demonstrated equivalency.
Successful experience using strong analytical & project management skills.
Effective use of verbal & written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concept to non-financial professionals.
Demonstrated accomplishment in prioritizing & managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A high level of proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently.
Demonstrated critical thinking & problem-solving skills as well as an intellectual curiosity & interest in challenging the status quo.
