Pathlights employs more than 70 professionals to address the aging needs of our communities. Our diverse team consists of social workers with advanced degrees and certifications, care planning experts, and individuals with backgrounds in areas of safety, mental health, and disabilities.

The healthcare, aging, and disability environments are ever changing. Pathlights’ staff meets regularly to examine, discuss, and modify the approach to care and learn about the latest advances from local, state and national experts as well as through continuing education and certifications.

Corporate Fundraiser

Overview: Pathlights is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting older people who reside in Palos, Lemont, Orland, and Worth Townships. Our mission is to empower individuals navigating the aging life cycle with a focus on those 60 years of age and older. 

We aim to be the premier leader in human services, supporting individuals, regardless of demographics or circumstances, by maximizing potential, providing innovative opportunities and solutions, and partnering with families and communities.

We are seeking an experienced corporate fundraiser to join our Resource Development Team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and a keen sense or initiative to source corporate fundraising opportunities and develop, execute, and maintain a successful corporate solicitation program.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, professional, and organized. We’re looking for someone who can persuade other to support our work and who has exceptional drive to build our corporate fundraising efforts.

This position is full-time, salary, non-exempt.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for corporate donor cultivation. Build a network of prospective donors and implement campaigns to solicit and steward corporate donors.
  • Provide strategic cultivation and stewardship activities with current and prospective corporate partners to achieve annual and long-term development goals.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of givers who contribute to the organization’s long-term growth strategy.
  • Represent Pathlights at networking opportunities, as identified, and conduct necessary follow-up to potential donors.
  • Advance brand identity by reinforcing strategic messages.
  • Ensure the economic viability of activities.
  • Participate in cross-departmental leadership activities. Develop a strong, responsive, and collaborative relationship with other department leaders.
  • Provide support for large projects and special events, including event planning and implementation assistance.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.
  • Exceptional communications, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Bachelor-level degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Certification or similar qualification in fundraising is helpful.
  • Competence with donor management systems.
  • Confidence in public speaking.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to effectively manage rejection and to accept feedback.

Caseworker, Community Care Program (CCP)

Overview: The Caseworker provides a comprehensive needs assessment and service coordination to assist older persons in gaining access to, and receive, needed services.

This position is full-time, salary, non-exempt.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial profession evaluation to determine client needs and provide guidance and/or referral to appropriate services. The setting may be in a private home or a healthcare facility.
  • Develop service/treatment plans for clients.
  • Arrange and coordinate services from approved vendor pool.
  • Collaborate with other staff to discuss clients’ best interest.
  • Manages a CCP caseload, including monitoring of CCP service delivery.
  • Provides ongoing support to clients and families as needed.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely casework documentation.
  • Participates in related special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution is required. We will consider all fields of study but some training in social work, counseling, psychology, human services,  or related field is helpful.
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
  • Good time and project management skills to prioritize and to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
